About Karin
Karin Delén is a dancer, lawyer, and certified coach with cerebral palsy. Since 2012, she has toured and performed across Sweden in various productions as part of the Share Music & Performing Arts dance ensemble Work. She has worked with renowned choreographers like Charlotte Darbyshire and Christina Tingskog, among others.
Karin is also a co-founder of the recently established dance ensemble UnikDans, and one of the choreographers behind the work-in-progress performance TILLSAMMANS. Additionally, she is a content creator for the TILLSAMMANS workshops, further contributing to inclusive artistic projects.
For over five years, Karin has led numerous dance and improvisation courses and workshops for groups with participants with disabilities at organisations such as Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan, ABF, and Balletakademien in Stockholm. Her expertise lies in demonstrating that everyone can dance, regardless of physical ability, and in empowering individuals with disabilities to discover and express their artistic voices.
Karin has studied various courses in dance improvisation, didactics and choreography at the Stockholm University of the Arts.
Beyond her dance career, Karin has extensive experience in coaching people with disabilities and has been actively involved in several organisations that advocate for their rights and wellbeing.
