About Thomas

Thomas Gunnarsson is a visual artist, graffiti artist, documentary filmmaker, and photographer. He became fascinated by graffiti as a child and was drawn to the art form as part of his search for identity. Through it, he discovered his passion for creativity and a sense of community with like-minded individuals.

This early connection laid the foundation for his long-standing involvement in graffiti culture. Active since 1987, he has exhibited his work in cities like Osaka, Lublin, New York, and Paris.

He is self-taught with deep roots in the graffiti world, which he remains deeply connected to today through his own painting as well as his Instagram and YouTube channel TagsAndThrows—one of the world’s most visited sources for film and photography focusing on the essence of graffiti: tags and throw-ups, where he has documented the essence of graffiti for nearly a decade.

His 2019 documentary "Bombing With Zexor" was screened at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, further solidifying his influence in both the graffiti and wider art communities.

Since 2020, Thomas has also been teaching workshops and leading art camps at various institutions such as Basis Konstskola, Årsta Skolan, Akers Friskola, Spring Beast Festival, the Ethnographic Museum, Art Street HBG, and Subtopia. â€‹
