TILLSAMMANS

TILLSAMMANS as an upcoming project consisting of two parts:  a dance performance by and with UnikDans, followed by a dance workshop and discussion where we invite the audience to participate.

UnikDans is a dance ensemble featuring dancers both with and without disabilities. The performance offers a unique and touching experience, aimed at breaking the norm that special groups are needed for different abilities. We believe that the real learning comes from the meeting of diverse individuals.

The performance is intended for everyone and aims to challenge the norm that different abilities require separate groups. Our choreographic work embodies the necessity of encounters between diverse individuals to drive change and teach us how to be compassionate toward one another. We believe that true learning happens in the meeting of people with unique experiences and characteristics. The main goal is to connect and discover new ways into dance and movement, with a focus on collaborative creation.

After the performance, Alva Degerfeldt, Karin Delén, and Klaudia Rychlik will lead a dance workshop where the audience can participate. During the workshop, we will explore different ways of dancing together, using contemporary and improvisational dance as a foundation.  Through dance and movement, the team and the participants will explore the power of community, friction, and collaboration in a dynamic and creative process.

During 2024, TIlLSAMMANS has been presented as a work-in-progress performance at Stora Skuggans dansbana,  at Riksföreningen JAG's summer carnival, and on the temporary stage specifically built by the architects Nils Chigot Eriksson and Maja Nordblom for their project Bygglig Verksamhet

In the upcoming production, the FUNKTIONARTS team consists of Alva Degerfeldt, Angelica Piñeros (producer), Arash Anbari (visuals) , Karin Delén, and Klaudia Rychlik. Additional participants from the UnikDans ensemble are Anna Westerberg and Mary Hagman. Anna, Karin, and Mary have disabilities themselves. Karin and Mary have both previously participated in several works by ShareMusic & Performing Arts. Karin is one of the few dancers with a significant cerebral palsy condition and together with Alva and Klaudia , she plays a key role in the creation and choreographing process of the performance.

The performance lasts about 30 minutes, and the workshop is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, including a break.
